Show Rules and Regulations

  1. The show organizers reserve the right to refuse entries without assigning a reason.
  2. The show organizers have the right to cancel any part or the whole of the show.
  3. No unauthorized persons shall enter the show or collecting rings.
  4. The judge’s decision is final. All objectives must be lodged in writing with the show secretary within 30 minutes of judging the competition involved. A deposit of £100 must accompany the objection, which will be returned if the objectives in upheld by the Jury of Appeal.
  5. Correct and safe dress must be worn at all times. Protective headgear must be worn at all times when mounted on any part of the showground. It is the duty of riders in the interest of safety to ensure that their headgear provides proper protection, is correctly fitted and remains in place.
  6. All owners and riders (where applicable, parents or guardians) of horses/ponies competing in any jumping event shall be deemed to the subject to the Rules and Regulations of British Showjumping.
  7. Prize money must be collected on the day of the show, within 30 minutes of the close of the final class.
  8. Each competitor, owner or where applicable parent or guardian shall be solely responsible for consequences of loss or damage done to, or occasioned by, or arising from any animal in their care and indemnify the organizers and Bridgend College, their officials, agents and invites against all liabilities, damage, actions, claims, proceedings, cost and or expensive in relation to or arising from his/her presence at the show.
  9. The show organizers nor Bridgend College, their officials and agents cannot be held responsible for any accident, theft, loss or damage, however caused arising out of or at the show.
  10. There will be a £2.00 charge made her horse or pony present to cover the cost of First Aid Cover.
  11. Entries in all classes are restricted to horses and ponies where applicable registered with British Showjumping and ridden by members in accordance with Rule 79.
  12. Rule 76.6 will apply to all classes.
  13. All dogs MUST BE KEPT ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES; otherwise they will be removed from the showground.
  14. No authorized persons may enter areas of the College campus not directly used in connection with the days jumping activities. In particular no one must approach the stables or enclosures of the Colleges own horses or livestock.

 

A limited amount of stabling can be made available on site, by prior booking and payment via the College Equine Dept on 01656 302635
